Hancock Shaker Village - Pittsfield, MA
With hundreds of farms, beautiful landscapes, supportive rural communities, and tremendous support for the farm-to-table movement, we're excited to announce the inaugural edition of Farm to Fork Fondo – Berkshires, September 24, 2017.
The Berkshires region has long been a pioneer in farm culture, from hosting the first agricultural fair in 1811, to more recently playing a central role in shaping farm-to-table culture in New England.
Our venue, Hancock Shaker Village, is an amazingly well-preserved cornerstone of local agricultural history. It's a 750-acre National Historic Landmark with 20 historic buildings, heirloom gardens, heritage animals, and 22,000 pieces of Shaker furniture, crafts, tools, and clothes. Farm to Fork Fondo - Berkshires will be held in conjunction with the Hancock Shaker Village annual Country Fair, which means the weekend will be filled with authentic farm activities for the whole family.
In the coming weeks and months, we will have lots of details to share with you, as we nail down course routes, meet with partner farms, and work with local chefs to put together some unforgettable menus.
Stay tuned, and invite your friends on Facebook!
