Riders at Farm to Fork Fondo - Vermont will meet the family at Shangra La Farm, Gran Fondo mile 63, for some fresh quiches made from the farm's eggs.
Kit and Karen Harris checked out of New York City and headed for the country to revive a historic farmstead and sustainable small farm. They are invoking Vermont's agricultural heritage with a goal of providing for their family and preserving and cultivating the natural beauty of their land. They produce eggs, maple syrup and honey, and are developing fruit tree orchards and a network of mountain trails.
