More than $1,500 raised to donate to at the June 28 event
Port Jervis, New York – Hundreds of bicyclists from around the country are heading to Cedar Lakes Estate in Greenville, Orange County, New York, for the first annual Colavita | Fine Cooking - Farm to Fork Fondo, and the organizers Wrenegade Sports are seeking volunteer assistance. The Orange County community event includes non-competitive bicycle rides for all ages and abilities, and festivities open to the general public. Wrenegade Sports recognizes the importance of dedicated, enthusiastic and creative volunteers to the success of this event.
To this end, Wrenegade Sports has created the New Holland Volunteer Competition in which color-coded teams of volunteers assisting with the logistics of the event will represent different local farms and farm-related charitable organizations and will compete for participants' votes and cash donations to those entities.
More than $1,500 has been raised thus far for the New Holland Volunteer Competition with cash sponsorship from New Holland Agriculture, Cornerstone Environmental Group, and donations from registered participants. Additional funds are being sought by the event organizer Wrenegade Sports and 100% of any cash donation or sponsorship will be awarded to the competing teams' local farms and organizations at an award ceremony on June 28.
Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to attend a volunteer information session at 6pm on June 14 in the New York Room at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Goshen, NY. Interested volunteers and sponsors or supporters can sign up to participate at www.FarmForkFondo.com or by contacting Wrenegade Sports at 518-662-0211 or Info@WrenegadeSports.com.
“We work hard to ensure that our unique events are as much fun for our volunteers as they are for our participants,” said Wrenegade Sports founder and former professional cyclist Tyler Wren. “Without their support and enthusiasm, we could not successfully execute our fun and accessible community events.”

The club's regular Saturday ride passes a large pasture with herds of grazing camels at the Sanctuary for Animals. These camels, rescued after movie, advertising and circus careers, have become the club's talisman and proceeds from their annual Country Roads Tour benefits the not-for-profit farm. Volunteers from the Orange County Bicycle Club team will compete for additional funds to support the Sanctuary and its beautiful open space.
