Vermont Weekend Getaway

July 19 - 21, 2024

Burlington, Vermont

Join us for a weekend of cycling perfection in Vermont! This stunning Weekend Getaway features rides from Burlington, the picturesque farmland south of the city, and waterfront miles on the Champlain Islands.

Friday, July 19th

3pm at Burlington Beer Company

180 Flynn Ave, Burlington, VT 05401

We’ll kick things off with picturesque 20-mile ride along the Burlington waterfront from Burlington Beer Company. This out-and-back route traces along the edge of Vermont’s queen city on it’s way toward the Champlain Islands. Our turnaround point is part way out the Causeway, a former rail line that now ushers cyclists between the mainland and the Islands. From there, we’ll have westerly views of New York’s Adirondacks and easterly views of Vermont’s Green Mountains.

The ride will end back at Burlington Beer Company. We’ll raise a glass to the weekend before going separate ways for dinner. (The food at Burlington Beer Company is great, so grab a reservation if you plan to stay!)

Saturday, July 20th

9:30am at Philo Ridge Farm

2766 Mt Philo Rd, Charlotte, VT 05445

Sunday’s 22-mile loop starts from the immaculate Philo Ridge Farm, where we’ll return for lunch following our ride. The southbound leg of our ride rolls along the top of the ridgeline with views across Vermont farmland and Lake Champlain to New York’s Adirondacks. After descending the ridge, we’ll pedal toward the lake. A covered bridge and lakeside regrouping point add to the scenery.

At mile 15 we’ll stop into Shelburne Orchards for apple cider and cider donuts. The support vehicle will be available to help transport your goodies as needed!

The ride will end back at Philo Ridge Farm, where we’ll enjoy a farm-sourced lunch.

Dinner in Burlington

5pm at American Flatbread on Sunday

115 St Paul St, Burlington, VT 05401

We will reconvene for dinner in Burlington at American Flatbread. This iconic Burlington restaurant prioritizes the use of ingredients grown by local farmers and brews their own (delicious!) beer in-house.

Sunday, July 21st

9:30am at Snow Farm Vineyard

190 W Shore Rd, South Hero, VT 05486

Monday’s finale is a 20-mile loop on the gorgeous Champlain Islands. We’ll stop at Dreamwalker Farm to meet the farmer (and some of her animals!) and learn about the working dynamics on the farm. This route features picturesque views across the lake toward the Adirondacks as well as the Green Mountains.

Tyler Wren

Farm to Fork Fitness Adventures founder (and former professional cyclist!) Tyler Wren will be with you for every turn of the pedals throughout the weekend. As your lead guide, he’ll share his knowledge of the region while fostering a rewarding group riding dynamic.
